T20 World Cup Canada beat Ireland by 12 runs. In the 13th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, Canada won its first victory by defeating Ireland by 12 runs.

In response to Canada’s target of 138 runs, the Irish team managed to score 125 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs and suffered their second defeat of the event.

In the Group A match played in New York, Ireland captain Paul Stirling won the toss and invited Canada to bat first.

Canada’s innings

Canada scored 137 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Nicholas Curtin was outstanding with 49 runs. Apart from this, Shreyas Mowa 37, Pragat Santh 18, and Arun Johnson got out with 14 runs.

For Ireland, Craig Young and McCarthy took 2 wickets each while Mark Adair and Delaney got one out each.

Ireland’s innings

Ireland‘s batting line could not chase the target in front of Canada’s brilliant bowling and scored 125 runs for 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.

Mark Adair 34 and George Dockrell were outstanding for Ireland with 30 runs, apart from these two, none of the batsmen could play and that’s why Ireland lost the match.

Gordon, Halliger took 2, 2 wickets for Canada.

It should be noted that Ireland and Canada were playing their second match in the event. Ireland was defeated by India and Canada by the USA in the first match.
