Pollard’s smoky innings, Karachi Kings beat Zalmi by 7 wickets. In the sixth match of Pakistan Super League 9, Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets thanks to Kieron Pollard’s smoky innings.

Karachi Kings easily achieved Peshawar Zalmi’s target of 155 runs in the 17th over, Kieron Pollard scoring 49 runs and James Vince 38 runs unbeaten.

The match was played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore where Kings captain Shan Masood won the toss and invited Zalmi to bat.

Zalmi’s team looked in trouble from the start, with Peshawar scoring 154 runs in 19.5 overs and the whole team out.

Shoaib Malik dismissed Saim Ayub for zero, then Muhammad Haris scored 6 runs and was dismissed by Mir Hamza.

Captain Babar Azam scored 72 runs on behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, besides Tom Koehler Cadmore 2, Roman Paul 39, Asif Ali 23, Aamir Jamal 1, Lockwood returned to the pavilion by scoring 8 runs.

Mohammad Zeeshan, Salman Irshad, and Waqar Salam could not score any runs.

Mir Hamza and Hasan Ali took three wickets each for Karachi Kings.

Pursuing Peshawar Zalmi’s target of 155 runs, captain Shan Masood scored 12 runs and Mohammad Akhlaq 24 runs. Apart from this, Shoaib Malik scored 29 runs.

After 3 wickets fell, Kieron Pollard and James Vince played a responsible innings and gave their team a 7-wicket win.

Karachi Kings achieved the target of 155 runs in the 17th over for the loss of 3 wickets, Kieron Pollard scored an unbeaten 49 runs, his 21-ball innings included 4 sixes and 4 fours while James Vince remained not out by scoring 38 runs.

Peshawar Zalmi’s Luke Wood 2, Waqar Salamat Khel took one wicket.

It should be noted that this is Peshawar Zalmi’s second defeat in a row, while Karachi Kings have won this for the first time in 2 matches.

Earlier, Zalmi was defeated by Quetta while Karachi Kings lost to Multan.
