PCB Concerns Over Venue Change

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has expressed its concern over the issue of shifting the second leg of the Asia Cup from Colombo due to weather.

According to PCB sources, the Asian Cricket Council will do its homework in light of these concerns and various options will be considered.

It should be noted that there is no rain in the Dambulla area of Sri Lanka these days and there is a possibility that the matches will be held in Dambulla.

Sources say that after finding a new venue, the Asian Cricket Council will inform the PCB, and a meeting will be held very soon to take a final decision in this regard.

The Super 4 phase will start on September 9. Due to rain, the India-Pakistan match at Pali Kele was canceled without any result. Due to stubbornness, the Asia Cup could not be held in Pakistan or the UAE.

According to Indian media, due to heavy rains and bad weather in Colombo, consideration is being given to changing the venue of Colombo and the matches held here can be shifted to Dambulla where there is no rain these days.

Indian media say that ACC has called an important meeting of member boards to make a decision in this regard, ACC will take an important decision in the next 24 to 48 hours.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board has not yet come out with any position in this regard.
