Pakistan reached the final of the Azlan Shah Hockey Cup

Pakistan reached the final of the Azlan Shah Hockey Cup after 13 years. In the ongoing 30th Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup in Malaysia, Japan defeated Malaysia and Pakistan and Japan reached the Azlan Shah Cup final.

Japan defeated Malaysia 1-2, after which Pakistan and Japan had 10 and 10 points respectively on the points table, due to which the teams of Japan and Pakistan reached the final.

On Wednesday, Pakistan proved their status as strong contenders for the finals of the event by defeating Canada 4-5 in their fourth pool match.

Pakistan will play their fifth pool match against New Zealand on May 10 at 1:00 pm Pakistan time.

It may be recalled that Pakistan has reached the final of the Azlan Shah Cup since 2011 when the national hockey team won the third-place match in the previous event and won the bronze medal.
