Pakistan has outclassed Afghanistan—first ODI: Pakistan outclasss Afghanistan, winning by 142 runs.
Hambantota: In the first ODI match, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 142 runs.

Chasing the target of 202 runs, the all-Afghanistan team was bowled out for 59 runs in 19.2 overs, on behalf of Pakistan, Haris Rauf took 5 wickets, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah took 2 wickets each.

Earlier, the whole team of Pakistan had returned to the pavilion by scoring 201 runs on the first ball of the 48th over, Imamul Haq was prominent by scoring 61 runs.

In the first match of the Pakistan-Afghan ODI series in Hambantota, Sri Lanka, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. After scoring, Fazal Haq fell victim to Farooqui’s ball.

When captain Babar Azam came to the crease, he too could not last long and got out without scoring any runs after facing just 3 balls.

After captain Babar Azam, wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan slightly increased the total score of the team, but he also failed to play long innings, Mohammad Rizwan scored 21 runs off 22 balls, Shadab Khan scored 39 and Iftikhar Ahmed Scored 30 runs.

On behalf of Afghanistan, Mujeebur Rahman took 4 wickets while Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan took two wickets each, and Fazal Haq Farooqui and Rahmat Shah took one wicket each.


The second match between the two teams will be played on August 24, while the third and final match will be played on August 26.
