New Zealand announced the squad for the T20 World Cup. New Zealand Cricket announced the squad for ICCT Twenty World Cup 2024.

Kane Williamson will lead the team, he is leading the team in the fourth T20 World Cup.

Adam Mullen is out of the squad due to ankle surgery and Kyle Jamieson is unavailable due to rehab from a back injury.

New Zealand’s squad for the T20 World Cup includes Finn Allen, Trent Boult, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Dion Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry and Daryl Mitchell.

Apart from this, Jamie Nesham, Glenn Phillips, Rachin Ravindra, Michael Santner, Tim Southee, and Ash Sodhi are also part of the squad.

Ben Sears has been included in New Zealand’s squad for the World Cup as a traveling reserve.

According to the spokesperson of NZC, these two children Angus and Matilda are associated with the local cricket club in Auckland. As soon as the video of these young children went viral on social media, the fans appreciated this unique approach of the New Zealand Cricket Board.

It should be noted that last year too, New Zealand adopted a unique approach to announce the cricket team.

For the World Cup 2023, NZC released a video message in which the wives and children of the players were seen announcing their names.
