India reached the final after defeating South Africa. In the first semi-final of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, India defeated South Africa by 2 wickets and qualified for the final.

In the first semi-final of the event played in Benoni, South Africa batted first and scored 244 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.

Opener Pretorius played a brilliant innings of 76 runs, and Richard Celestine scored 64 runs.

On behalf of India, Raj Lambani took three wickets, and Mushir Khan dismissed two players.

In reply, the Indian team lost four wickets for 32 runs, after which Sachin Dhas and Uday Saharan shared 171 runs, Sachin Dhas played an excellent innings of 96 runs, and Udhay Saharan scored 81 runs.

India achieved the target with 7 balls to spare at the loss of 8 wickets and made it to the final.

The second semi-final of the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup will be played between Pakistan and Australia on Thursday.
