India reached the Super 8 stage after defeating the USA in T20 World Cup. In the 25th match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, India defeated the USA by 7 wickets and qualified for the Super 8 stage by getting the third consecutive victory in the event.

India easily achieved the USA’s target of 111 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the 19th over. Surya Kumar Yadav scored 50 runs and Shiv Dubey remained unbeaten by scoring 31 runs.

In the Group A match played in New York, India’s captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and invited America to bat first.

America’s innings

America scored 110 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Nitish Kumar scored 27 runs and Taylor scored 24 runs. Apart from this, Corey Anderson scored 15 runs and Harmeet Singh scored 10 runs.

On behalf of India, Arsdeep Singh bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for 9 runs, while Hardik Pandya dismissed 2 and Akshar Patel dismissed 1 player.

India’s innings

Chasing the US target of 111 runs, India didn’t get off to a good start, with Virat Kohli getting out for zero and captain Rohit Sharma getting out for 3 runs.

Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant also returned to the pavilion after scoring 18 runs off 20 balls.

After 3 wickets fell, Surya Kumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey batted responsibly and slowly pushed the score forward. Thus, India easily achieved the US target of 111 runs in the 19th over.

Surya Kumar Yadav scored 50 runs and Shiv Dubey remained unbeaten with 31 runs.

USA’s Saurabh Netrawalkar dismissed 2 players while Ali Khan took one wicket.

By defeating the USA, India reached the Super 8 stage of the event with their third consecutive victory.

On the other hand, the USA is second in the table with 4 points after winning 2 out of 3 matches.
