Four Pakistani players have qualified for the International Squash Championship quarter-finals

Four players from Pakistan have qualified for the quarter finals of the Chief of the Naval Staff International Squash Championship. Four Pakistani players achieved success on the second day of the ongoing championship at the Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex.

Nasir Iqbal, who got a wild card entry in the event, upset England‘s 5th seed Pere Malik by 15-13, 11-08 and 11-08.

Top seed Asim Khan defeated Malaysian player Ong Sai Hong 11-05, 11-09, and 11-05.

Pakistan’s number two seed Taib Aslam beat Hong Kong’s Wang Chi Hum while Pakistan’s Noor Zaman defeated the Japanese player 1-3 sets to enter the quarterfinals.

Hong Kong’s Matthew Lai, Egypt’s Muhammad Zakaria, and Malaysia’s Shafiq Kamal also won their matches and qualified for the quarterfinals. The quarterfinals of the event will be played tomorrow.

In the women’s event of the International Squash Championship, Anam Mustafa, Rosna Mehboob, Samira Shahid, and Mehwish Ali have also qualified for the semi-finals.
